Anthropic released Claude Fable 5 and Claude Mythos 5 on June 9, 2026. The official model page lists claude-fable-5 with a 1M context window, 128k max output, and API pricing of $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens.
Key facts
- Claude signup still requires a text-capable phone number from a supported location. The Help Center says VoIP, Google Voice, app-created numbers, landlines, and numbers that cannot receive texts are not accepted.
- Phone verification and Claude identity verification are separate layers: certain capabilities, integrity checks, or compliance triggers may require Persona identity verification with a physical government photo ID and live selfie.
